Two years ago on the last day of archery I shot an 8 point on the farm. It was not big, but anything with a bow is great. I have tried to let the little ones go and wait for the big ones. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. This year I passed up several and never got a buck. I had two big ones in my sites but never was able to take the shot.
Rod Shumate one of the guys from my church took my photo and sent it back to me. He had taken a pic of his and merged his head into my photo. In the bottom it read "Someday it will be me".

The next year rolled around and Rod was able to hunt with me. He was at the best spot on the farm and managed to pose with his own buck - a nice 10 point.
