Labor Day Down on the Farm

Larry and Betty Miller have wanted to see the farm for a long time. So we traveled down to Rayne Township for Labor Day. Heading out for the tour.

The kids enjoying life in the haymow.

A cow getting ready for hoof surgery.

Milking Parlor

Getting ready for a ride on Derek Wallace's Suzuki - the fastest 250 I have ridden.

Out scouting for deer.
If you enlarge the picture you will see
the deer about 50 yards from us.

With the zoom lens - a doe.

The Alpha tree is just to the left of Larry.

Larry points out an early rub.

...another one.

Climbing through the woods.

Standing at the "Sweet Spot"
Many bucks and does have been shot
from the ground right here.
Not bad for 82 and 83 years.

We found a whole litter of cute mice in a gas well meter.

He tried to escape and was hanging on for dear life.

Larry and I right above the Gurnee Hilton.

Betty continued to walk down the gas line while we headed down over the hill to scout for deer she was to meet up with us at the crick. We found her crawling up the quad trail on a gas line.
Not bad for 82 years old.
No excuses for anyone younger.

On the way home we went up 36 most of the way.
We had to stop and eat at this place.
