Snow Removal from our Roof

Over 2 feet of very heavy snow on our roof caused us some concern. With the warmer weather and potential rainfall, we decided that the natural sponge must come off manually. Although our trusses were engineered for the snow belt at 40 lbs per square inch, we wanted to get the snow off that would act as a sponge and accumulate allot of extra weight on our roof.
We installed a row of snow stops on the main roof to prevent the snow from falling onto the lower roof. This will ensure that a minimal amount of snow is present in any area.
