Captain Dave of Reel Pleasure Charters.
Their Motto: No Excuses.
He is the 6 time Derby winner and 22 years in the top 3.
His biggest fish weighed 325lbs.
The end of the Alaskan Pipeline in the Valdez harbor.

Catching a silver Salmon.

A few made it to the harbor, but they never really came in.
It was not a good year for Silvers.

Captain Dave, friend of Melody Fair, backing our boat into dock.

It took two cart loads to get our fish.
The happy fisherman with a fine catch. L to R - Myself, Andy Bryan - who made this trip possible for me, Thad Newton, Chad, Thomas Ridenour, and Evan Bowers.
My biggest catch of the day - 95lb halibut.

Evan Bowers and I
Evans fish weighed about 80lbs.
If Daryl Quesenberry is reading this: 162lbs.

Loading fillets into the cart.

Captain Dave filleted it out in a little over a minute while talking and looking around. He is the fastest Filleter in Alaska. If you ever get to Valdez and want a big fish and your limit. See Reel Pleasures Charter.

309.5lbs of fillets.

Beautiful mountains the whole way home.
Mount Blackburn

Robertson Glacier

A new friend: Evan Bowers.

The bad thing about this guy - he is friends with Daryl Quesenberry.
