Where is God?

Does this remind you of your prayers? Are they unreasonable? Should we put more of our own effort into real physical attempts first? Were they lacking in faith? Should they have risked their daughters life in this manner? Read this little article: Father on trial for daughter's death.
My opinion: Seek medical attention first and then start your prayers! God expects us to use our head. God can and will answer prayer, but He never healed everyone that was sick around Him although He could have. He chose to heal ones that would cause them to believe. Since Christ is not physically here now.....are "healings" only brought on by special people that are given the gift of healing, or is it our faith?

Your thoughts?
Post them.

Sadly, this is not the first time this happened. Probably not the last either...

I have this book:
http://www.amazon.com/We-let-our-son-die/dp/0890812195/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1248702597&sr=8-1

An evangelist declared their son healed. (Diabetes) They decided that any symptoms were of the devil, so they ignored them. He was dead within 3 days.

I felt bad for them because really, they meant well. But, let's face it, it was DUMB. And sad.

Then they really lost it and decided that God was going to raise him like Lazarus... held a resurrection service instead of a funeral, and ended up in jail for a while.

God heals. I know it to be fact. Not a doubt about it. BUT, He can heal using any means...meaning drs, nurses, hospitals, meds, etc.
