Connie Rodgers Day

A project of our discipleship class. Showing appreciation for someone in the church that does allot of work and never gets any recognition. Their unanimous choice: Connie Rodgers.
A special gesture to Connie.

A privilege for me as Pastor - shining her shoes.
A symbol of gratitude for her servants heart.

A special flower presented by the Pastor's family.
Julie's eyes are usually closed when the flash goes off.
Peg presenting gifts cards for gas.

Ashley presenting gift cards for restaurants,
Sis. Rodgers was just glowing.
Jeff making up for something after 30 some years.
Jeff and Stacey presented her with a deck for the front of her house.

Tom and Cindy presented her with deck furniture.

Pastor presented her with a gift of labor to build it and
a satisfaction that she is getting the deck he didn't want.

Ilene reading a letter sent by Rev. Troy Muir a former pastor.

Dixie reading a letter by Rev. Dan Cope a former pastor.

Make a Note: My shortest Message - 5 minutes
My Outline:
I. She is a Dear.
II. She is Diligent.
III. She is Decisive.
Reading her plaque.

Presenting Connie with a plaque for her "many" years of service.

How Cool! I think that more churches should do this sort of thing. So often the behind the scenes jobs go unnoticed. It did my heart good to see this!
